If
you're in the market for tungsten rings, you probably already know that
they're the new industry standard for quality. They have been referred
to as the "Permanently Polished Ring." But not all tungsten is created
equally. EVERY SINGLE ONE of the tungsten rings at Wedding Rings
Forever upholds the following standards most companies choose to ignore.
- Our
rings are cobalt free. This is VERY important! Most people are fooled
by cheaper rings which contain cobalt and take away the qualities of
true tungsten carbide. Allergic reaction are also frequently caused by
cobalt.
- Our rings are 10 times harder than 18K Gold, 5 times harder than tool steel, and 4
times harder than titanium. Tungsten measures between 8 and 9 on the
Mohs hardness scale. (Diamonds are a 10 - the highest.)
- Our rings will not bend, scratch, or warp in any way. They are the toughest rings on the planet and will truly last FOREVER.
- In a medical emergency, our tungsten carbide rings can be easily removed by a medical professional or experienced jeweler.
- We test each of our hand-made and hand-polished high quality rings.

Tungsten is sometimes referred to as wolfram and was first distilled
from the mineral wolframite. It forms super dense alloys when it's added to
other metals. These alloys are used in products ranging from golf
club heads to weapons. Tungsten is as stronger than steel and about twice the weight.
Tungsten carbides are compounds of tungsten and carbon: monotungsten carbide (WC) or ditungsten-carbide (W2C). A tungsten carbide compound is denser than silver, steel or titanium, and jewelry made of it is effectively wear proof. Pure tungsten jewelry
is available; however, pure tungsten is not as hard as the carbides.
This is why Wedding Rings Forever uses only THE STRONGEST TUNGSTEN
CARBIDES.
